79th Independence Day: India will celebrate its 79th Independence Day tomorrow, i.e., on 15th August. Like every year, this year too Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the celebrations from the Red Fort in Delhi. This year the theme of Independence Day is New India, which shows India's dream of becoming a developed country by 2047. During this, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth, and Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh will welcome Prime Minister Modi.

96 soldiers of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Delhi Police will give a special salute to the Prime Minister at the Red Fort. This year the command is with the Air Force, and Wing Commander AS Sekhon will lead it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to the Red Fort and hoist the national flag, in which Flying Officer Rashika Sharma will assist the PM. During this time, a 21-gun salute will be given from cannons made in India.

Operation Sindoor logo on Gyanpath

Two MI-17 helicopters will fly over the Red Fort, one of which will have the Indian flag and the other will have the flag of Operation Sindoor. The logo of Operation Sindoor will be displayed on Gyanpath. This year's invites will also have this logo and a photo of the Chenab Bridge, the symbol of the new India.

About 2,500 NCC cadets and volunteers will create the logo of New India at the venue. More than 5,000 special guests will attend the event. Olympic athletes and gold medalists from sports events like the Khelo India Para Games will also be present here. 1500 people from across India will wear traditional dress and showcase India's rich and diverse culture.

The PM's speech to the nation will be

After the flag hoisting and flower showers from helicopters, PM Modi will deliver a speech to the nation. He is expected to speak on Operation Sindoor, the Pahalgam terror attack, India's issues with Pakistan, and the goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. For the first time, military and paramilitary bands will play music at over 140 locations across India in the evening to celebrate Operation Sindoor and promote patriotism.
